Part-Time Spanish CPR Instructor

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and professional Part-Time CPR Instructor to provide high-quality CPR, AED, and First Aid training to employees, community members, and partner organizations. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching and making a meaningful impact by equipping others with lifesaving skills.

No CPR Instructor certification is required at the time of hire. The Company will pay for the selected candidate to complete an approved CPR Instructor Certification program. Successful completion of the certification program is a condition of continued employment in this position.

Essential Functions

  • Successfully complete the employer-sponsored CPR Instructor Certification program within the designated timeframe.
  • Prepare and deliver CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and recertification courses in accordance with the certifying organization’s standards.
  • Provide engaging, accurate, and professional classroom instruction using approved curriculum and teaching materials.
  • Demonstrate proper emergency response techniques and evaluate participant competency through practical and written assessments.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, training documentation, certification records, and class evaluations.
  • Ensure all instructional equipment, training manikins, AED trainers, and classroom materials are properly maintained and sanitized.
  • Set up and dismantle classroom equipment before and after each course.
  • Maintain current instructor certification and complete all continuing education or recertification requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while representing the Company in a professional manner.
  • Comply with all Company policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Attend staff meetings and instructor development sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to successfully obtain CPR Instructor Certification through Company-sponsored training.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach individuals and groups with varying learning styles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and electronic documentation.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between training locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, or facilitating groups.
  • Experience in healthcare, emergency medical services, education, childcare, social services, or customer service.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand and instruct for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate CPR techniques on the floor, including kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Frequently use hands and arms to demonstrate CPR compressions and rescue techniques.
  • Lift, carry, and transport training equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Move classroom equipment before and after training sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with participants in person and electronically.

Work Environment

Instruction may be provided at Company facilities, schools, businesses, healthcare facilities, or community locations. This position may require evening, weekend, or occasional holiday availability depending on scheduled classes.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $17-$18 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, certifications, and business needs.

In accordance with California law, the Company reasonably expects to pay within this range at the time of hire. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.

Employer-Sponsored Certification

The Company will pay all required costs associated with obtaining an approved CPR Instructor Certification. Employees are expected to successfully complete all required coursework, maintain active instructor certification, and meet ongoing instructor performance standards. Failure to obtain or maintain the required certification may result in reassignment or separation from employment.
